In either case the point remains (mostly) the same.
It is an amusing scenario that one feels compelled to break the law in order to study the law to obtain a career where they will be operating within the constraints of the law.
And furthermore, in the same breath, will simultaneously admit to robbing someone and condemning someone for allegedly robbing others.
we used to live in an honor culture where moral virtue was currency. the whole point of dueling was killing someone that betrayed moral bounds
now we live in a culture that values convenience and luxury. the point of law now is stacking up billable hours for cash, the service itself is second priority
the standard of living is obviously higher now due to technological advancement, but other things were sacrificed
