Correct. I logged into hamachi, created a network on hamachi, my friend joined said network on hamachi, then I hosted a tcp/ip game on Diablo, with the new ip created by hamachi, my buddy inputs the new ip address on Diablo = “cannot join server” message

has to be one of your security blocks then, 100% even if firewalls are turned off, you may have to turn off all security on the computer.. your computer will be fine, just dont go to any unknown websites, or click on anything stupid =)
but this has to be the issue, there is no other reason for it. some ones cpu is blocking the other, or maybe both

I’ll definitely try it. My friend had the idea of using a cable to system link our pc’s, I guess like an old school LAN party. Would that work ?

We’re also both using windows 10

iirc when i used amachi, once the the network was created and both had joined. We simply had to enter the game creator ip(the one showed in game) and it worked

Try evolve.
I was having issues with Hamatchi (only one person was able to host successfully) so we found a different vpn.

Maybe have your buddy make the game with hamatchi and try using his ip4 address?

Thanks, I’m definitely going to try both

Another note, I’m also unable to sign into b.net, I get hit with the cannot connect to server message.

This two problems are probably connected, right ?
