I want to make an animated gif.

The site says "- Signatures exceeding 70 kilobytes." is that total file size?

How many pixels an inch do I want to use?

What is a good size as close to the 400x150?

How many frames can I have?

Is there a way to compress it smaller without loosing too much quality?

Any other pointers or advice along these guidelines will be GREATLY appreciated.

YES 70KB max
400x150
Reduce weight with EZGIF optimize tool
and I dont think there is a Frame limit as long as it fits in the 70KB size

(outdated size) my gigabit connection is really dying over all these >70KB sigs

OH yeah if you add an image to your sig make sure you don't exceed 3 lines of text LINES not words
and if there is no image you can have 6 lines of text

I made an animated gif, it is at around 140 kb.
Even after reducing the colors range it only went to 104.

I am going to check out the EZGIF thank you.
