Hello, first time posting in here.. sorry if this is in the wrong place. I am looking to purchase a new monitor for gaming.. both PC and console (mostly console) but am having trouble deciding which one to get. A few I was looking at are below if anyone has any advice or suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I have this one, and this is the one I would recommend. If you're using it for console (mostly), I would not get a 4k monitor (but I am biased).
It's a great monitor, and it would fit your needs, especially if you want to upgrade to more PC gaming.

27" starts to get slightly stretched out at 1080p. You'll notice much more aliasing in games and even a bit on text and everything else on your screen, unless you're sitting far enough. I'd recommend the 24" BenQ Zowie one you linked but it depends what kind of PC setup you have, what games you play and how often. Having 144hz just for console is unnecessary because at best they run games at 60fps.

i actually decided to narrow it down to just console gaming (xbox s). I am leaning towads the samsung since it has 4k and freesync

Well you don’t need 4K or 144hz because you don’t have a 4K console and fps is capped at 60

So you don’t have to spend so much

xbox s has 4k?

yeah might as well just get a random 1080p monitor and call it a day

freesync also does absolutely nothing unless you have a PC with an AMD video card



isn't it just upscaling? Would there even be a difference in picture quality?
