I lvled a sorc to do exactly that, but totally clueless on how to gear the sorc / skill

Hahaha no way !!! Sounds good !!! you got that listed on my to do list at literally takes zero damage from everything in d2 including ubers.

Actually I have to clarify, you can still take damage from crushing blow enemies and poison (you will have 100% poison length reduction and max resist though)
Neither of which can actually kill you
