Don't Gigabyte motherboards have dual BIOS chips?
I would check the motherboard manual, for info regarding that.
I think there is a switch or jumper on the motherboard, that has to do with this.
I'm not at all sure, mainly because I've never had a motherboard with two BIOS chips.
But I think I read somewhere that it can't use the 2nd BIOS chip without first changing a switch or jumper on the motherboard.
Like I said, I would check the motherboard manual for info regarding either the switches and jumpers on the mobo, or switches or jumpers regarding the dual BIOS chips.

short pin 1&2 from bios_M while computer is on, so it forces it to boot from 2nd bios
Thanks for the tips.
I've tried that Secksii. I believe that B_BIOS/Backup BIOS is defective So there is no way to roll back to a working BIOS version on to M_BIOS.
This board is completely bricked.
low end mobo for sure. Only 1 single SATA3 port etc.
Asked him if I should find a 1155 motherboard to replace it. But ended up with he would rather upgrade.
So an hour ago I found him a used 6600k + asrock z170 OC formula for 132$. he is also going to buy a Cryorig H7, so I can do some mild OC.
Also trying to scoop up used 2x8GB 2400MHz RAM for 86$.
Gonna be 253$ definitely worth it.
