i finally got diablo 2 to run on high sierra
when i type /fps everything checks out great fps and ping nice and low
but when i tele with sorc i stay in place and overall it runs horrible
my mac runs newer games perfectly fine its just diablo 2 im having the issue with
im not familiar with mac so im wondering if there are settings or a patch i can get anything that can make d2 run better

Are you using 'Software Rendering' or 'Open GL?' Go into options (hold down 'option' and start up D2), click 'Configure Video' and see which one you're using. Switch to the other one and try again. If lag persists, mess around with the in-game video options, and try running it in a window (cmd-m).

The newer windows has issues with GL and has to have a software patch to function. I am not familiar with the differences on mac, but i suspect a similar issue is occurring. Youll more than likely need the mac equivalent.

Windows 10 requires a 3dfx glide wrapper to function or the same issue happens. Try that.

I would go this route. Run bootcamp to play it on windows. It will be so much smoother

Yeah man. It’s free, it’s easy to switch between the 2. Why not. Just use a windows 10 trial, so you don’t have to pay for it. It won’t let you change anything but it will work forever
