A couple of weeks ago I bought this pelt and yesterday I saw the same guy offering the exact same pelt. Did I bought an unperm item without knowing?

doesn't really seem like it'd be worth duping. decent pelt but seems like a lot of work for a falcon mask 5 nado. but if hes really selling exact same item again then very possibly an unperm dupe

if its not on a common dupe list, its most likely not a dupe, even tho the stats and the name are exactly the same.
there are some items who share the exact stats, name, but may differ with a skin, for example I owned 2nec/20fcr/30str/44 life amu or the same with 58life which I know exist several copies on realm.
im not exactly sure about the mechanics behind that, maybe someone more experienced could elaborate.

I see your point but the fact that is the same guy with the exact same stats and skin makes it suspicious, after all what are the chances of having two identical items like this?

it can be unperm and you can never be sure about that as long as its not self found.
maybe meet with that guy who had the exact same pelt as you, let him leave the game before you
and you leave it after (without perming yourself, obv).
if the item poofs, its unperm, else its perm. we usually call this a clash test.

blizzard rolled back chars some time ago. so he could get it rolled twice. from and old char. which will make one if it unperm

It's a magic helm right? So no.
