Their veil is Rosenstein's purported obstruction of the Congressional investigation into the FBI (it's a load of crap, but it is their veil). The real reason is to get rid of the guy who hired Mueller, so his replacement can fire Mueller.

what i was trying to say is that the veil is so thin that you can't even call it that anymore. i'm fully aware that they would have to replace rosenstein with a complete partisan hack to get rid of mueller since sessions recused himself, making the russia investigation a matter of the deputy ag.

To give theHill credit, they DID run three stories about Rosenstein's involvement with the FBI and DOJ, long before Trump. The three articles were back in Oct. 2017.
It was about Hillary, Obama and the Uranium One deal.

Other players at the time were, Eric Holder, Comey and even Mueller.

I don't think they have the votes. If Rosenstein is removed, the reaction from Congressional Democrats, some Congressional Republicans, and the public will be severe.
