Hi All,

I have an Astronomy course this quarter. It takes me hours to do one assignment when it should only take someone minutes who knows the topic. ;-)

Halfway done with the course. 97% in the class. It will jump dramatically low soon as the assignments are getting tougher.

I have about 5 assignments a week, but there's 1 or 2 I specifically need help with.

Any takers? Please PM me only and what you charge. With "Astronomy" in the title so I don't confuse it with diablo 2 item trades. ;-)

I'm also in the University for another 7 years, as I'm only doing 1 course a quarter, so it would be nice to have a "go-to" helper over time, especially since next quarter I may take a writing class!

1. What do you notice about the height of the solar maximum peaks since 1950? Based on these peaks, when will the next solar maximum occur and what can you infer about the size of its peak?
2. What are coronal holes? Why should we care on earth if the Sun has a big coronal hole?
3. How does the solar minimum affect space junk orbiting the Earth?

Here's another assignment due July 18th:

1. Describe the main differences between the composition of Earth and that of the Sun.
2. Describe how energy makes its way from the nuclear core of the Sun to the atmosphere. Include the name of each layer and how energy moves through the layer.
3. Starting from the core of the Sun and going outward, the temperature decreases. Yet, above the photosphere, the temperature increases. How can this be?
4. Describe in your own words what is meant by the statement that the Sun is in hydrostatic equilibrium.
5. Suppose you are standing a few feet away from a bonfire on a cold fall evening. Your face begins to feel hot. What is the mechanism that transfers heat from the fire to your face? (Hint: Is the air between you and the fire hotter or cooler than your face?)
