First, thanks for all the responses, you've definitely been helpful

CS is a higher level and yields much more exp

Not sure what you mean by this. According to https://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=17219980 they are both 78. Is there some other level-based experience factors that I should read up on somewhere?

Your poison skls should be getting close to max by now

Yea, they are max. CS just offers fewer kills per second because of the way it's set up.

Cows have less exp given per kill and most cs monsters are lvl 80

That being said cows is funnier for javazon so I wouldn't worry. Just have fun

mlvl is not determined by area level in Classic. i think area level only determines the ilvl of items from containers (chests etc.)
Urdar in RoF and CS runs are ultimately a lot better for XP than cow lvl, but cows have 0 light res (and are easier/safer too).

Interesting. Do you know if there is a resource that allows me to look up the monster levels in classic? I think Arreat Summit only have the expansion info

I'd be particularly interested in the level of cows, Stormtree and Sarina
