Go into the BIOS and set the CPU voltage at 1.25 or at max. 1.3v and see if that lowers the temps.

What are you actually drawing? Use a program like hw monitor

Also, I'm not familiar with what Corsair Link shows... exactly. Just because it shows the pump working... does that mean it's working to full capacity?

Based on the temps spiking immediately with basic tasks, he either

Has faulty readings
Little to no water flow
Unnecessary voltage

Agreed.


@OP, all the CPU voltage settings are in the A.I Tweaker menu in the BIOS... (advanced Mode). On the Exit menu in the BIOS, choose "Load Optimized Defaults" then hit the F10 key to Save & Exit the BIOS. If the temps are still high when CPU is under load, I would blame the CPU cooler.


Since you haven't overclocked ever... I'd be more suspicious of the Corsair AIO cooler than anything else.
