Only strongboxes and spirits but people are going crazy like this is some game breaking update.

Haven't seen any people "going crazy".
Most people find them lackluster and they take space from the valuable rooms.
Most of the old rooms are not worth the upgrade and adding even more bad ones doesn't really help.
