First triathlon in the books!!!! But get this - the swim got canceled!!!!!!! Isn't that some shit? The fog was way too crazy out over the water, you couldn't even see the buoy we had to swim to and the harbor master was worried that lifeguards wouldn't be able to spot the swimmers.

The tri instead went: run, bike, run. We ran 1.7 miles, biked 14 miles, and then ran 3.5 miles.

It was really fun but I literally did not eat ANYTHING pre race this morning. Not even a nibble. I worked 3 doubles in a row (wednesday, thurs, fri) and have been really sick so I never went out and picked up any food for the AM. I figured the tri would have at least some bars or snack or something...nada. My co worker was doing the race as well so I hit her up to bring some and she didn't ven get to the venue until 5 mins before the gun went off so I never got anything in my belly. Burnt 1300 calories of straight fat and started getting really dizzy and light headed the last 2 miles of the run.

But I finished! And almost hit my reach of a goal while at it.

Was great fun. Theres a 28 mile bike race next month, and a half marathon in October. I'm sure I'll throw some 5k's / road races in between.

Thanks for your support and tips boys and girls!!! Onto the next one

There's a free and local 5k every Tuesday at 5:30 pm (which just so happens to be the only day I have off of both jobs) and I ran it a few days ago!

Conclusion: I fuckin suck at running. Does anyone have any advice?

My first mile was ~7:30 and my last mile was 9 mins lol. Do I need to do longer distance runs? Or circuits of 60 second slow jog at 10 min pace, then 30 seconds at a 6:30 pace, then back to a slow jog

How do I impove? Running is my down fall

I signed up for next weekend's bike race!

I signed up for the B group, which is 28 miles. I've never even ridden 28 miles before but I think I'm gonna do well!!!!

My legs are still really sore, it's getting worse. I need to stretch and use the roller every single night.

Let me know if anyone knows of a good CALF MASSAGER in particular that I can buy on amazon.

I need it to actually be a deep tissue massager and not one that feels like someone is taking your fuckin blood pressure

Thanks!!!!

If you want to get better at running, slowly add in more running over time. Increase your miles per week slowly and focus on running at a relaxed/comfortable pace. Over the course of months you should be able to drop significant time from your race results.

So I jumped in a 30 mile bike race on a heavy cross-trail that I rented from the bike shop.

I got absolutely merked, everyone passed me. I averaged 16.5 mph throughout the 30 miles, but 19 mph over the first 10 miles.

Let's put it this way, I started out strong, then I got merked.

Dude if I didn't bring a granola bar that I tucked in my back jersey, I would of like passed out, had to eat it during the ride lol.

Burnt 2200 calories in 110 minutes is no joke!!!!
