why would you use voltaxic though. If you can already poison with lightning damage there isn't much point in converting.

Quill rain would be much better to stack those poisons and abuse the poison duration ascendancy from assassin.

Possibly, voltaxic gives a huge flat light damage and gives you reflect immune to save a little on maps.
Quill is strong though.

No point in doing lightning. Here is why:

You can shock with Yoke neck and there is nothing else you'd really want from "lightning damage". Considering you can get much much higher baseline firedamage from the cookie cutter AoF setup.

But if i was to go lit for the sake of just doing it, i'd go elementalist + impulsa. Chin Sol + maybe point blank support (would have to check the dps in PoB compared to the other generic more damage multiplier gems.

Just can't compete with Chin Sol + Point blank for raw damage and you wont need "better aoe clear" because of how strong ele hit is to begin with.

You would aim for the + 2 lit + 2 xxx corruption frost ferno so that your lightining support gems get more levels as well.

It would not be lightning damage, it would be chaos and poison.

Would still be doing 40% lightning damage unless that gets converted somehow.

Check POB to see if the damage would be even worth it tbh

Voltaxic doesnt convert 100 % to chaos anymore. IIRC there arent any legacy voltaxic either. Or can you convert the remaining 50 % (I believe) some other way?

elementalist, chin sol and point blank are useless

I worked out in pob i can get it over 40 million dps tanky and over 75 million glass cannon, might give it a shot when i get 95 on my meatballs.
