so after logging in to bnet and pressing "play" there is a grey loading screen and nothing happens.
i have to go to task manager to close it and it says "diablo 3 not responding".
i've tried to update my gfx drives- still nothing

Are you running any anti-virus/security software/firewalls?
If so, please disable them and try running the game again.

Does the problem still occurs in windowed mode?

Battle.net App > click on the Options cog wheel > select Game Settings > tick the "Additional command line arguments" box > add "-windowed" and click on the "done" button.

Once that is all done, click on the "play" button and let me know what happens.

we've just learned that it's something drivers related, maybe something is outdated?
i may not assist you furthermore due to lack of knowledge of your pc, however you could try on battle.net forums where you'll get some professinal support
