Have been thinking of making a sorc walk in the future. Everyone’s seen blizz/meteorb/light a thousand times over, so figured I’d try something a bit different.

Am set on Hydra being the main fire skill. Not really familiar with Nova, but I know it’s short-range, costs a lot of mana, and word on the street is it doesn’t pack much punch.

I’ll be maxing Hydra, Fire Mastery and Fireball (synergy, plus a bit of crowd control), so I’ll be able to max two other skills from a different tree. I’ve seen a few guides for Hydra/Frost Nova, but without more synergies it looks like Frost Nova damage is gonna be sucky too.

For the immunes I was thinking of having a tanky merc with something like Reaper’s Toll. Obviously Infinity would be great but this is SP we’re talking about

Thoughts? Any other skill that you think could be better paired with Hydra?

dont think nova will do enough damage, and frost nova is more for just freezing not for dmg

Ask Belarathon he completed a wt with this spec. Char name Hypatia. He went primarily nova then hydra later on. Completely twinked gear though.
