I'll fess up, this thread was a poor attempt to rile up Adverb@d2jsp, failed miserably, i apologize. I also wanted an excuse to say "lolBrowns".

Tyrod led the Bills to the promised land this past season and will do the same for Cleveland this season.

He's a quality qb who is at least top 15 in the league.

It was? Don't #1 overall picks usually start right away?

No, that can sometimes become detrimental.

meh, isn't losing in wild card round just as bad as not making the playoffs though? Tyrod was not good in that game (neither was Bortlels though)

Thought it was apparent whatever qb they drafted was gonna be behind taylor to start..

I was also under the impression that this was their plan.

It's stupid to rush a rookie QB to the field if you don't have to. So many QBs have ended, hurt or straight destroyed their careers because they got rushed into a starting position.

The Browns killed it this off-season, and this is just another thing that they're doing right imo. Tyrod is a solid enough QB that deserves a starting job in the NFL. It's only logical to let an unpolished rookie develop behind a proven player if you're fortunate enough to have one. I personally liked Jackson/Rosen more than Mayfield, but I believe the Browns are giving him his best chance by allotting him adequate time for transition into the insanity that is the NFL.

I don't think you realize how bad that Bills team truly was. They didn't even deserve to be in the playoffs.

Also, that Jags defense.

Does anyone actually think Mayfield stands a chance? Lol

This guy has bust all over him in the Brown's system especially. I don't think anyone actually feels confident in him.
