Does anyone know if there is a way to find compatibility on gfx cards and CPU’s?
I am very new to this but my PC started getting really hot recently.
It’s an Asus all in one.
Before you nag on me for getting an all in one, it’s served my purposes very well for 4 years. Asus ET2230IUT i3 3.0 ghz.
8gb/1 tb.
Being an all in one, I think I might have difficulty ordering parts that are compatible.
FPS rates are starting to drop and the computer is slowing, the air blowing out of the vent is getting warmer.
I took it apart and cleaned it, found some nasty nasty shit in there, and it works better, but I still want to upgrade to some internal parts that allow me to play games like Rust.
I run at like 13 FPS on rust.
I DO realize I probably need a new fan and I need to replace the thermal paste/tape - but I think I could do with an upgrade.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you. I use amazon and Newegg.

video cards you only need to look out for what pci type they are, and its best to match those up.

edit/ unable to upgrade allinones as far as I know

Yeah it might be permanently attached to the motherboard haha... but I think I’ve seen forums about these Asus computers being one of the few that you can actually do that on.
I might just have to stick with replacing the thermal tape...
It’s top rated for all in ones, but I’m not sure if it’s the ball array

I DO have the option to upgrade the memory on it, via a back panel... would this help with performance?
I have a tuneup tool and use only like 35% of the memory.
I don’t think that would help speed, seeing as I don’t use much memory anyways, but I don’t know.

I don't think you have a graphics card. From the specs, it looks like you just have Intel Integrated Graphics 4400. That's built into the CPU itself.

/e Why don't you post a Speccy screenshot...

Get SPECCY here: http://www.piriform.com/speccy/download
...get the FREE version from either link listed.
...Speccy is a really nice system hardware/temperature, information Utility.
...simply install it...and run the program...then post a screen shot of the main page of the program, when posting a problem/question on these forums.

/e You might be able to add more RAM. But the ASUS ET2230IUT, is going to have a hard time with Rust.

Unfortunately there's nothing you can do to upgrade to play rust cuz of the AIO.
You will need a graphic card, but you can't add one because the "case" is behind ur monitor which is too small, and you also need a new power supply to support the power and that won't fit either.
Only option is to build a custom desktop for gaming, otherwise there's not much you can do

Yes there’s a space to add additional RAM. Would this help the speed of my computer even though I only use about 35% of the current memory?
Would it help, in any way, to ease stress off of the cpu

Getting more ram will not get you significant amount of fps boost to play rust comfortably, u need a dedicated GPU for that. What you have is an integrated one that is built into the CPU, which are known to be weak
