Right. It doesn't matter if they don't have a "realistic" comeback, the fact of the matter is that this is league, and there is always a comeback chance until the nexus falls.
fox deserved to win that game, they played it well and were very much ahead, but they didn't deserve to be handed a free win simply because they were winning and then riots server shit out on them.

Pretty shitty situation but if they had a rematch and fox lost, the game they played well on, that should’ve won, wasn’t worth anything. It’s pretty unfair both ways but awarding them for their progress in the set match was probably the best way to go.

Nah its not fair either way.
But it is more fair to redo than to give someone a free win.

They could just start back at nexus with same objectives/farm and play it from there

The alternative was a remake which is super shitty for EFox since they had a strong lead

It was shitty for someone either way. Personally I just think it is less shitty for them to reset.
Even if I played on fox I would say its better for me to prove I am better a second time, rather than being gifted a win.

/e Its pretty much the same as the free promo wins < plat. I always thought it was dumb they added that. I understand why they did it, but it was still dumb.

It's not about proving that you're better
Lower teams take games off higher teams all the time
Being better doesn't mean a 100% win rate

If this were a best of 3 or 5 then a remake would make a lot more sense
These teams prep for their ONE match against their opponent each week. You just throw that all out and Fox can easily lose after.
