I had less cpu usage with my i3 and 40$ motherboard

Obs is using up 60-80% of my cpu

is there any way to lower that rate ?

When we turned up the priority for OBS in Task Manager, that made it use MORE of the CPU.

use streamlabs version of OBS its free and is better optimized especially for more outdated computers

How old is the processor. It could actually just be that hard on your cpu if it's an older gen i3.
