Is it a waste of imbue quests going for druid pelts and sorc orbs in the beginning of the ladder?

Does it make a difference if I imbue a normal pelt/orb or an exceptional pelt/orb ?

And should I follow this guide: http://forums.d2jsp.org/topic.php?t=53998437&f=87 and imbue it with +94 char?
