yeah i noticed the cpu fan not working as well..
Im assuming due to maybe no electricity, that little watch battery in the motherboard died, and or something and maybe reset the bios .

Have you tried turning on the computer without a video card? and using onboard video?
also try taking out the ram cards, start the computer and let it beep for 3 to 5 seconds, and then turn the computer back off and then turn it back on.

other things to check via power switch is making sure that the power button cable wire to the motherboard pins is positive/negative and not sideways ect.

hi man,

I've done everything you guys have suggested (thank you for the suggestions) and there's still no dice :(

I'm going to buy a new mobo and processor. Can you guys please tell me that if I buy these, I can just uninstall all the old stuff / other parts, install the new hardware and plug everything in and get going?
I undertstand that I will need to recover / buy windows, but is it that easy to install a new mobo and cpu? or is there a catch

That CPU will not work in that motherboard.

/e You would need one of these CPUs for that motherboard...
