You're so right... I was thinking this all through the trailer. It should be a good movie no matter what, and hopefully through smart directing/editing, they can downplay his crazy eyes as much as possible, but you're 100% right that it completely takes you out of the moment/scene or w/e and makes him for that second completely unbelievable as Freddy until he covers his eyes again. Should have just made him wear special contacts or something to change his fucking eyes. Kid can't help it he's got fucking crazy eyes lol.

First time I saw Need for Speed (I know I know... I just love cars and any and all car movies) I was like WHO IS THIS GUY. *Insane* bug eyes. It will be interesting to see if he can pull it off. They shoulda just get him really stoned or something because I imagine it's going to be rather intense lol.

Rami wasn't originally cast, I remember hearing I think they had a big name, Johnny Depp? But apparently whoever it was wanted to make a raw film that would delve into Freddie's problems with drugs etc. Pretty sure it was Depp, he pulled out when the studio insisted on a straight glorification flick

Honestly I agree with making it more celebratory. If you want an honest story that dives into the issues of being gay, socially shy and a huge star in that time period then make a documentary and be honest and truthful. That just doesn't work well as a Hollywood production imo.

After reading, I changed my mind about watching it. The perfect guy to do it bails on the project. And it will be watered down. Nah, I want to see crazy.
