I'm writing an essay and have a couple small syntax queries.

One I'm not sure about is whether 'is' or 'are' is the correct term.

The other is a similar 'do' or 'does' or neither.

LMK, obviously will only take someone proficient a minute to do

I'm happy to give it a go. I was the teacher's favourite back in secondary school but that's about as high as my qualifications are ^^

generally "are" follows a plural and ''is'' a singular. people are stupid. pat is stupid. some tougher contexts. post up some examples or send ill do for free
