So i am a rookie at this game. what are the different gems used for? I know rubys and amethysts are valued for crafting blood and caster. but what about the other gems? are safety and hit power worth crafting? or are the rest just valued for rerolling magic items?

so Topaz, Skulls and Diamonds are "worthless", because you cant use them for crafting? Or does skulls have another use that makes them more attractive?

Yes. i am able to find the different recepies. What i wanted to know is what cube recepies actually creates valuable items that other players want. Like for instance: hit power rings. can those roll well? are they worth crafting? or are my emeralds better spent doing something else?

better not picked up in my experience. unless you do safety amulets, which are miles worse than caster ones in terms of shot at valuable rolls. but I do it anyway cuz OCD. then they are best for magic rerolling, charms like GCs from mlvl 9x+ (Dia, Baal, Nihla) for the 41-45life affix (you want +1skills +45life ofc).

Commonly considered most valuable crafting recipies are:
Amulet 1. caster 2. safety 3. blood
Ring 1. blood (2. caster)
Gloves 1. hit power / blood shared place
Belts 1. caster 2. blood
Boots 1. mana / blood (in battle boots) shared place
Helm 1. blood

rest are likely not worth your time.

most valuable crafting recipies are blood ring and amulet caster at a 1st shared place. On ladder season, amulets prolly better than the rings.

Imo u can craft:
blood gloves/belts/rings/and maybe boots,
hitpower gloves
safety amus maybe
caster boots/belts/amus
yellow and white gems you should use to reroll grand charms dropped by baal/diablo/nila (can become a skiller with 45 life)
skulls can be used to reroll rare items, best to reroll are diadems
