Is 1000 Goldfind better then 1000 Goldfind + xxx Mf?
Or do I get the same amount of gold with both?

Yes.

The best rare amys with +2 class skills can only be found via gambling. It is not possible to find them with mf, from a drop (except maybe on Baal/Dia/Nihla, not sure).

Also gambling is nice if you are looking for items which are not heavily traded, like gozu-rare-throwing-weapons for a throw-barb.

Yes sir.

If you want to be profit oriented you would gamble amys+circlet exclusively.

The top circlets could be found via drops from Level 85 Areas Bosses though. You need an affixlevel of 92, Diadems/Circlets get +4 anyway, so you need to get an ilvl of 88.

Highest arealevel = 85 (The Pit, Ancient Tunnels, Kurast Temples, River of Flame, CS, Worldstone, Throne)
Championpackboss-Bonus= 3

85+3 = 88

Magic level bonus for Diadems = 4 (not talking about magic items here, just that circlets/diadems get a higher affixlevel than they would deserve naturally. This is unique in the game to tiaras circlets diadems)

88+4 = 92

So you can find top class circlets/diadems from champion pack bosses in the aforementioned areas. But as amulets are missing the "magic level bonus", the best rare amulets in the game can only be found by gambling for them (or dia/nihla/baal which is a long shot compared to gambling). Still people gamble for circlets too because a 10/10 circlet sells for 50k fg, while a 10/10 amulet might only sell for 25k fg.

One thing you dont see yet:

The probability to get an item of a certain quality when gambling is this:

Unique: 1/2000 (.05%)
Set: 2/2000 (.1%)
Rare: 200/2000 (10%)
Magical: 1797/2000 (89%)

The item level (you need to get to 90+ to get the good affixes on amys and circs) is determined by character level:

ilvl = Clvl +4/-5

So you want to be at least level 95 to start gambling 24/7.

One thing to add: My above calculation is wrong. They dont need level 92 for the best affixes but only 90. Which makes finding them with mf much more possible :) Sorry about that! Still, a faster way to get a 10/10 amy/circlet is gambling.

Circlets: 85-Areas: Champions+ can drop them, Nihla, Dia, Baal. (If you happen to have a Diadem dropped, even a random level 80 area would be enough to let it be 10/10 because it gets such a high affix level bonus; but chances of having a Diadem dropped instead of a circlet are really slim. Hence the rarity of Griffons Eye)

Amulets: Only Nihla, Dia, Baal can drop them.

do you know how many % of the gambling tabs offers a circlet? 5%? seem to be opening and closing A LOT of tabs in order to find a circlet?

Yes that is normal. I dont know what the probability is for a circlet to appear in the gambling window, but you have to close and open again and again. But do gambles for amulets on the way. They are always there at least.
