Looking at the following sports coupes:

BMW M4
Lexus RC-F
Cadillac ATS-V
Mercedes C63 AMG

Which would you get and why?

Selling point for me would be whatever comes in a manual. If none, then the Lexus. German cars seem to over complicate things which leads to proprietary tools and expensive maintenance.

M4 or AMG hands down, to be honest my wife currently has a BMW granted its just a measly 3 series... but the driving experience in a BMW is literally incomparable...

I've driven a E300 2010ish for a bit and they are definitely solid built cars, but in terms of making a decision purely from a performance stand point, the M4 is hands down the way to go... hell I would even say get a M3 instead and save yourself 10k for a better 0-60 performance (i believe)

I've driven a 2018 IS350 and I'm sure its nothing of how a RC-F will handle, but again Japanese tuning and suspension is solid but not comparable to German engineering (so cliche but its true)

I test drove an ATS back in 2012ish when it was first released and I was not a fan at all, the car felt so awkward, granted its been like 6 years so they might have changed some things... plus the V is obviously a beast compared to the standard ATS

Atsv or the Lexus because long term ownership.

I’ve rode in a 2016 ATSV and it’s an incredible ride, and I’m sure they’ve improved on it.. And the Lexus I couldn’t imagine is any less impressive handing wise.

BMW and Mercedes are for suckers who don’t think ahead.. The c63 is a poor mans AMG, it’s value is way overrated.. If you’re not paying 100k for an AMG, your buying the name imo.

I am a manual enthusiast too... but now a days DCT (in the BMW at least) is definitely faster and smoother than human shifting.

Doing some initial research, but ultimately will decide after I test drive each.

The M4 lost out to the Camaro SS in a car and driver head to head even though it was half the price. The ATS-V is the same platform with more creature comforts and a TT V6 that will make 500+whp and run 10s with exhaust and a tune.

ATS-V
Lexus
M4
C63

Imo of course. Look at the depreciation rate of the C63 and the M4

I currently own a 6MT F82 M4 and it's a really fun car and one of my favorites i've ever owned. I have a BootMod3 tune with downpipes intake and exhaust and the they dynoe'd it at around 563whp and 579tq. Although i almost feel like with my current PSS tires, I don't feel like I have enough grip at times. I did come from a stage2+ tune supercharged AWD Audi and that thing gripped so good (awd + sports differential was really sweet).

Close friend has a C63 although it a 2011, but the car is amazing still. I love it.

I have ALWAYS been a huge fan of the CTS-V and that car can be turned into a monster! (just realized you posted ATS-V no CTS-V)

I would be really torn as well if those were my options!

I ended up getting the M4 because it was a really strong deal with less than 10k miles when I got it. I guess it really will come down to what packages you have in those cars. Like manual or auto, does it have things like a competition package (ZCP for the M4 as an example)
