You very likely won't need to do anything to it for another 60-100k miles depending on how it's been driven. It's the same design as the pickup truck engines that go 300k.
A 4" stroke crank, forged rods, and 4.065" bore will give you a 416 which is the common size to build an ls3 to. If you are going to boost it I'd leave the stock crank in it unless you plan on over 1000whp. If your plans are above that a forged stock stroke crank is ideal.
Regardless of stroke, a nice forged rotating assembly for an LS3 is going to run you about $5k assembled for the shortblock with you providing the block.

You wont regred it :D
This dumb ass (regretted**) it fucking retard
Avoid it for 10-17k
avoid it, buy something jdm, eurodm rwd for less than 3k. Buy a RB26det or 2jz 3.4 as well (titan stroker kit) and/or 2.9l stroker kit for Rb 1.6k build it instead of buying it why not just build it. GR6 tranny RB motor, R154 for 2j.
Alot of the american fellas like to just buy the car and have other people build it.
FMX is right, avoid it and buy something fun to build.
hell you could buy a pontiac fiero and catch on fire while driving it because american cars are so great
Or you could buy a car, swap it, build it slam over 15lbs boost into it before even destroying anything. I'll be back in the states soon, I'll help you.
Make the right choice m8.
A corvette is like a tranny and a mustang a crowd killer you should avoid it imo fmx is on point with that pm edit.
Then again, buying an american car is like having an STD the choice is yours. Let your wife get one first at least, then just wear a condom.
