Just save a step and harness solar, because that's where the energy that generates those winds comes from in the first place.

We already harness wind speed through wind turbines, and you can't let them go very fast or else it breaks the turbines and causes lots of damage.

Prob is our current solar cells have something like 80% energy lost / not used. They only puck up a very specific wavelength of photons. And iirc it's not even the high energy ones...

High energy photons get absorbed by ozone and oxygen molecules.

The highest energy you can get a reasonable harvest from are the low energy UV, and visible light photons.

Wind isn't very efficient either, the turbines take a massive amount of upkeep and barely catch any wind.

Thankfully though sun is pretty reliable and you can catch it anywhere. Solar already overtook coal in terms of cost per energy production, and that's after considering coal subsidies.

True but we have solar panels in space, and they have the same inefficiencies.

I'm not saying the tech isn't viable, I'm just saying we can do better in terms of soar energy efficiency.

There's a lot of room to improve.

We definitely do. It can be done in any part of the spectrum visible or lower because there isn't really any part of the EM spectrum that we absorb particularly efficiently with solar panels.

there is no such thing as free energy, people cant come up with that because its impossible even in theory  sure you can opt to trust luke rudkowski and his scientists that worked in super secret labs (that no one has heard about because i guess they are so secret), but its probably better to simply trust the laws of thermodynamics <_<

Between solar, geothermal, and hydropower the tech already exists to eliminate the fossil fuels, just no montetary incentive for the big boys to switch.

well that and no incentive to make literally every person globally who owns a car buy a new clean energy car. or an efficient way to change over gas infrastructure to electric, or any assurances that electric will follow the same format long enough to justify the change over. what happens if we change over all gas stations to recharging stations and in 10 years hydrogen replaces electric?

the big boys are at fault for sure, somewhat, but we've all enabled this for convenience for decades.

Go guys go
Good luck to discover this sort of technology.

Good luck.

you should add free energy into your overarching theory about human intelligence, global culture, and issues with the social science. more dimensions to a complex system can't hurt your outcomes.
