Safety is always important, but in all honesty, they've got bigger fish to fry than you man. I have one friend who absolutely refuses to use any sort of protection and he downloads CONSTANTLY. He's received no less than 45 warnings telling him to stop at once or he'll be in big trouble. I've heard loads of similar stories. Unless you have zettabytes of stolen content, or if you're taking that stolen content and selling it illegally online or being someone who's hosting restricted content on a regular basis, you have nothing to worry about.
