I actually like mine the same way Gordan Ramsey says is how you are supposed to cook a steak lol.

First off though I need a nice thick steak, get that paper thin junk out of here. Real deal Tbone, delmonico hatchets, Prime strip, Porterhouse what ever your fancy but it has to be thick

Steak needs to have sat out to get close to room temperature. You salt it with good quality sea salt/Himalayan pink salt, get the charcoal grill (propane if lazy) SUPER hot to sear that salt in the meat, cook it to rare/medium rare if your me or to your liking and pepper the steak after if you like pepper

that my friends is how a real grilled steak is supposed to be made.

Also if you make a steak right especially on charcoal why the hell would you add sauce/ketchup. Ruin the damn thing why don't ya, cover up the smoke flavor/salt sear for some a1 or ketchup. If you need a1 or ketchup to eat it you cant cook steak.

Medium rare for sure.

Sameish taste as rare, but with the chewing for a week.
