Big facts, medium rare is so delicious; however, if it's moo'ing at me or bleeding out, then it's not done enough. A good steak is ruined if cooked too long; as well as, being under-cooked... resulting in that bloody iron-like taste that can only be guised by that of a good steak sauce or even hot sauce.

I used to only be able to eat my steaks well done but I have slowly got into eating them medium rare and its 100x better.

Was just on a cruise, and had steak 2 nights in a row. That was damn good. Long time since. There is little that beats a good steak.
