Java will never die out, too much of "corporations" soft is writen in Java, it wont be profitable to change to other Language. It's just like COBOL in banking :)

You're right. Functional programming is so overrated. I like to allocate my memory.

I worked for the goverment, all their software stopped working on java 8, fun times. Cost a lot of $$ to fix and they decided to move all the code to C# instead lol this way they don't get fucked again by a new java update
