Only worth if you're in deficit and are getting enough from your proteins.
If you're in surplus/maintenance you don't really need.

Good to use if you are doing IF diet...particularly if you're cutting and particularly good to consume before fasted training

Is there something you're ready to do about it?

Side note:
"BCAAs also spare glycogen by as much as 25%, likely by increasing levels of another amino acid, alanine, in the blood, which the liver turns into glucose that the muscles can utilize during exercise."

My verdict is that if you are mainly a weight lifter and are bulking or maintaining, you dont need them.
On the other hand, if you are a runner or primarily do other forms of cardiovascular athletics, then you can find great use from them in both preventing catabolic state and increasing athletic performance condition. I've had a notable improvement since I started using it.

Whey would more easily break the fast. IF diet is the only time you’d want to use bcaas

You know what really spares glycogen?

I have no idea what you're talking about. BCAAs are for runners now?

How do some amino acids break the fast, while others doesn't? If you eatin', you aint fastin

Whey gets the job done just as well, and comes a lot cheaper

Try settling 2 scoops of whey immediately before a long run versus 5-10g bcaa with a splash of water. Far less digestive stress.

oy, when it comes down to it everyone has their own beliefs and things that work for them vs not. id not be the only runner using these and experiencing improvements in endurance.

"15g BCAA (rough estimate of active dose) prior to physical exercise in novice, but probably not elite, athletes seems to be able to promote physical endurance secondary to reducing fatigue. This occurs in prolonged physical exercise of 30-60 minutes or more.

This may be one of the few instances where BCAA supplementation has a place over protein supplements, as the inclusion of tryptophan is thought to be adverse to performance in the same people who benefit from BCAAs (and thus its exclusion in BCAA but not protein is seen as advantageous)" Taken from examine

As for the fasting thing, yeh fasting is not magical, and you'd be breaking it in the sense that fish oil would break your fast. It's just a leangains protocol for the 10g bcaas pre and post workout if you train during your fast. I imagine it's bcaas over protein for lack of calories (depending on amount you take) and the concentration of it. I'm sure the difference from taking a small amount of whey protein would be pretty small, though.
