Hey guys just looking for some input..

Been using arch for a while now with i3wm. Just wondering if anyone has positive or negative feedback about gentoo... been thinking about making the switch a lot recently just so I can have a more clean system & only upgrade the packages I want rather than being bleeding edge.

I have a 3.1ghz i5 so figured compile times would be a bit slow but I can always just ssh and update while I'm at work or before bed. Already have 13wm all set up how I want it and will be using it again (already backed up to github). Just wondering if anyone has any negative or positive thoughts on gentoo!

Only one here using gentoo is abduct.
He's probably suspended and if not then he's just never on jsp.

While gentoo is the primo linux distro its the time and hassle that most won't bother dealing with.

I suggest Sabayon, gentoo based distro with better odds

Used gentoo back in the early 2000s
Spent a lot of time getting it set up
