Looks promising. Hopefully it lives up to the hype.

Good first episode

Solid first episode and introduced quite a few people to a piece of real history that most never learned about. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

I wasn't overly impressed to be honest, it was ok i guess...like it was an ok episode of TV but it didn't really feel like it was set in the watchmen universe. That's my biggest gripe.

Hoping it picks up, I'm sure it will.

I've only ever saw the movie so I don't know a lot about the Watchmen universe. I do know it's set like 34 years after the events that happened in the film so maybe that is why it feels different.

It is basically impossible to judge a show until at least one season is complete but so far I have very high hopes that this will be a very successful show.

I liked the first episode but am curious about where they're going with it. Loads of callbacks to the comic. Also cool designs of the new 'superheroes'. Looking Glass, Red Scare and Sister Knight all fit pretty damn well within the universe.

Very interesting to see the modern lean they're trying to give on the political stances that the comic Watchmen had. Also cool to see the incorporation of the Tulsa riots.

I definitely want to see some of the moral stances of the comic expanded on though. Nihilism vs utilitarianism vs absolutism, etc.

I really hate how they turned Rorschach into a white supremacist symbol. It doesn't make a lot of sense. I guess fuck the actual comic and the actual character, we need to make the villains relatable to the current climate instead of being smart about it because that is easy.

Everything else was good.

At the end of the movie and the comics, his journals were given to the far right conspiracy newspaper The New Frontiersman, a publication that he was very fond of, which is the equivalent of infowars meets breitbart.
It's not a stretch that those nutters would take rorschach's ramblings and conspiracy theories and distort them to fit their agenda.
So it makes quite a bit of sense actually.
