Why bother because you'll win by selecting the right character and spamming one button? I have great memories of a fighting game tournament. Never pretty much played those and managed to win the whole competition. Did it involve skill? Hell no. Just spamming one single button and occasionally switching. The butthurtness of "enthusiasts" and "pros" was priceless. So that's about it for fighting games...

Either a troll, or he did win a tournament, but it was when he was 13 against other 13 year olds spamming one button and now he's somehow convinced himself that that's as competitive as it gets for fighting games.

If you're 100% being serious, I just feel bad for you. Opinion is one thing, but when there's millions of sources available to you that completely contradict everything you're saying (like you know, literally watching even one single competitive level fight and seeing that they don't spam one button....), but you're still somehow convinced that everyone else is just wrong, then you've got to have serious type of learning disability or something going on with you man. Honestly hoping it's a troll, but based on your responses, it just seems like you've got some prejudice towards the genre because you thought you were good at it at one point, but you never actually were.

Hands down - fighting games will never be on par with real games that actually require skill like Starcraft 2 ;)

starcraft 2 takes skill, yes, but it's very different kinds of skill, neutral in fighting games is actually closer to chess than starcraft is. starcraft is more execution based.

Just to make sure  Did you confuse chess and tic-tac-toe or you really meant chess?
