How difficult is it to replace a PSU? I contacted the supplier and they are willing to send one, but they said: “If you'd like, we can try replacing the power supply. I can send you one, but you have to be 100% confident replacing it yourself as we won't be able to walk you through it. Would you like to try that? If not, we can get it sent in for us to try replacing it.”

It's really simple to install a new power supply.

depends on the person i guess.. but im sure you can do it
for ppl with common sense, super easy?
for ppl that do not know how to unscrew, plug cords, difficult?
the "hardest" part would be managing the cable.

I just re-watched your "noise" video. Is that a prebuilt PC?

Just make sure everything is turned off, unplug PC, hold power button for like 30 sec

Put on wooden table, one part of ur body touch case while slowly unhooking all the power cables, unscrew PSU take it out

Do all that in reverse order to put new one in :D

Except the power button and stuff, that's just to make sure power is all out of PC

Watch utube videos or ask someone to video discord/Skype to help

If it's not plugged in, the case is actually enough metal to disperse any static electricity.
Not sure about wooden table, maybe just because it's less conductive (even tho any non-metallic table would be fine)

Incorrect. There is no such thing as "enough metal" to act as a ground.

If the case is not grounded you only equalize the charge, Which means you can still carry a charge large enough to damage things.
While it may be enough sometimes its not always enough an d is a poor practice that should not be enforced.
