I've been wondering why this isn't a thing year after year. You never know someone sent you a friend's request unless you look into the friends section of your profile. That's obviously non-productive and silly. Why is there no system in place yet, after all these years, that sends you a pm stating you have a new friends request? It boggles my mind as it's an obvious no-brainer.
Maybe someone here can shed some light.
