Because when legit players find good items, we can't trade for other good items that we need for our specific builds, because botters have ruined the marked by overflooding it. It is basic common sense. So there is no fun in playing to find good items, because the game is already flooded. Half the fun is finding good items and building a good character, but when every single item is in abundance, the hunt is gone, and the fun is gone. Basic common sense. There is no point in playing if cheaters get rich on ruining the gameplay experience for legit players.

It's the age old story that ethics is what drives everything, but economics ruin it, and lack of understanding of these two subjects due to nobody learning about it in school is the cause of all problems in society.

If the items you found were good then they would still hold value with bots.
If you're complaining that cheap low stat uniques aren't trading for $10 like they did on day 1 of the season then you aren't finding good items

The items retain relative value to each other even when the prices drop, other than hr trade rates during the first few weeks. Your gore riders get roughly the same number of runes on day 10 of the ladder as day 100. The cash value of those items is the only thing that has changed. And they're cheaper, so if you're really concerned about that cash value you can buy them cheaper (the opposite of what you're whining about). I might only be able to sell my 45 lifers for 500 each instead of 1k each now, but most everything else has also dropped in price by 50% so if we're still talking about trading for items my purchasing power has stayed the same.

If people weren't playing d2 for profit then they wouldn't be whining that bots devalued their drops.

Wrong. Cause every item will have its worth increased. So if you find something useful you can trade it for good instead of trash it.
Also, if you want cheap items --> Non Ladder

You wouldn't even know my bots existed unless I told you. Please explain how it ruins your gaming experience when it literally had no effect on you for the last 3 months.

Selfishness would be asking blizzard to ban other players so you can enjoy your game more.

I didn't know it was you but I was well aware of your activity. Prices started dropping very fast and we are now already very close to non ladder prices.
There is no thrill anymore. Before the bots any item could have been traded and had its worth. After everything started becoming cheaper and cheaper.

People started to trash items that were actually useful and traders are looking more just for perfect ones.
You guys miss the whole point of having a 6 month ladder. To you it's just something to exploit, not even a game. Who cares, you launch a script and wait for the profit.
You don't even play the game and if you think you do you are just wrong.

There is "profit" since there is a market around it. Ingame trades or jsp method. But if there are no bots people can actually enjoy to play the game.
With bots there is just a lack of interest.

But that's nowadays trend. Everything, immediately and easy.

The only way you would get rid of bots is if you got rid of PvP.

Because thats the only reason this game has any active players. The rest of you are human mf bots fulfilling their wish lists

They would hold value, but not the amount they -should- be worth. People should be getting rich by the time they have to spend to find very rare items and high runes. Not 300 fg for a Ber even though this late in the season (EUCHL). It's a joke. Should be 3000, at least.

Yes, because there is the case that finding -some- items of value, and they're worth absolutely -nothing-, legit players have a good reason to complain. It is very unfair. Just because people want to get rich on shit.
