Anyone playing? If so, what’s your take on it?

The gameplay and graphics are solid. The place where it comes short is (in my opinion) is the story Joe Seed is certainly not vaas, and still not as funny/crazy as pagan min.

Also the setting doesn't feel right.......in fc3 and fc4 you felt vulnerablke cuz you're stuck on a fucking island and a civil war shitty nationl. Montana? Not as impressive.

All things aside, it's a good game. Not the best of the series in some aspects (taking graphics etc into consideration). I pre-orded it and im not dissapointed,

I agree the graphics are solid. I've never played any of the other far cry games. I enjoyed the game play for about an hour and got bored. I haven't tried co-op yet, so hopefully that makes the game better.

Haven't gotten to it yet but plan on it soon. It looks to play exactly like wildlands in almost every way just in a far cry setting. That's the one thing I dislike about Ubisoft is a lot of there games feel very similar. They are still some damn good games though

I noticed that too with how it looks a lot like wildlands.

Not just how it looks but gameplay wise. In wildlands you had to beat each section of the map to clear out bosses until you got to the main boss. A lot less region bosses in far cry but still that is the general gameplay loop

I agree. I enjoyed playing wildlands, so I’m hoping far cry 5 will be fun

Just about to 100% wildlands tonight. It was a good, borderline great game. Amazing open world and the gameplay was good, if a little repetitive. Premise of the game was great but execution of the story was pretty bad. I don't know many ppl that would actually click to watch the videos to see what's actually going on

Pretty graphics, shitty gameplay and everything else.

Literally no diversity with this game. All of the guns feel like reskins of each other and not one is fun to use.

Plus they watered down the "perk" system so there is no leveling. No progression, just buy things with money. That and they completely scrapped the crafting upgrades mechanic. Terrible choices.

I honestly just bought the game for the multiplayer though, and they fucked that up royally, in just the stupidest ways possible. The lobby system is fucked - you need 6 players to start your own private lobby, and you can't even select maps to play in rotation like you could in FC2. It just gives you a list of randomly chosen maps to pick from. I spent hours creating my own arcade map and then never even got to play it because the game never randomly chose it for voting on.

Not to mention the coop issues. Only the host player can progress his story. As soon as the joining player leaves, he loses all his progress and items he obtained while playing coop. Just bad design.

Gonna return this game. Sad to see this series go to shit after playing since FC1
