I am NOT saying allow members with 0% warn to edit the title, description or body of their trade topics.
I am NOT saying allow members with 0% warn to close their trade topics.

I am saying allow users to flag whether the STATUS of their trade topic is complete or not complete at any time so long as topic hasn't been closed or inactive for 3 months or longer.

It would look something like the image below, but professionally done with evenly spaced custom green/red icons. Perhaps even add a yellow dot later for users who are temporarily unavailable?

allowing users to be able to close their own trade threads would be more effective

That's been suggested many times and denied for obvious reasons.

I like your intentions. But I fear this would hinder player trading immersion.

Some traders will just see the red status and be like "fvck that thread". Instead of clicking on it, reading it, and engaging with the forum to see what's being sold and reading how other jsp users communicate to each other. This activity adds to the trading experience

On the flip side, it could save time as when you see a red status (could cause a bit of strain on the eye from looking back n forth all the time too), you know it's sold out / not worth your time to click.

I can see both sides to this, but just my thoughts on it

Maybe move the green/red status over to the left side close to the title.

Green = still iso/selling items

Red = done

Sure

I agree, whatever is aesthetically pleasing. I just made the image in under one minute.

Having it on the left side is the only way to implement this

But the option for users to close threads would be better. What are the obvious reasons it's been denied before, anyways?

I know it's been denied many times. I'd imagine for reasons such as it would give users the option to moderate their own topics. Think about how that could be a bad thing? I think what matters most is closing your own topics had been denied.

I think most users would still view every topic to get pricing ideas.

That "system" would basically rely on each individual flagging their threads manually (?)
I mean.. those who care will already post "closed" or "no longer need" or whatever when they are done.
The rest will have their threads there exactly like before.

I don't see the point.
