Aparté: la conjugaison en anglais

dans la langue anglaise, les gens sont fous
ils conjuguent super mal leurs verbes

ils disent "it's me who asks the questions".
sous prétexte qu'il y a un "who", alors ils conjuguent avec la 3e personne du singulier

wtf
sont fadas ces méricaings

Aparté: it matters

Quote (Thor123422 @ May 21 2018 12:28pm)
It being your topic doesn't mean dick. If you want to have a private conversation where you're the only one allowed to ask questions take it to pms

if people answer a question with another question, the topics will be very poorly organized.

Quote (Thor123422 @ May 21 2018 12:39pm)
"why does it matter" is a very basic question, and if you can't answer it then I don't think your topic is worth discussing, well organized or not.

it matters because there are people who believe that they will succeed in transforming themselves into superhuman transhumanists.

Do you know this guy?

He suicided himself to become a robot.

it matters because many people have given up on creating social intelligence in the world, because they believe that humans are not animals.

that's why it matters.

but I hoped not to be forced to answer that question myself.

I was hoping you would be smart enough.

Yes, but were the only animal capable of language, self awareness, and long term planning. It makes us somewhat different

there is no evidence of what you say.

Aparté: les conventions internationales

Hello,
In this topic, I will talk about social intelligence.

For me, there are two main types of social intelligence:
  • fundamental social intelligence: the rights of citizens (the 9 core instruments)
  • secondary social intelligence: the common fight against global warming (the Paris agreements), waste management, ethics (the 2005 bioethics convention)...

I'm going to talk about fundamental social intelligence.

According to OHCHR, there are 9 core international human rights instruments:
  • Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination (ICERD, 21 December, 1965)
  • International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR, 16 December, 1966)
  • International Covenant on Economic, Social, and Cultural Rights (ICESCR, 16 December, 1966)
  • Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW, 18 December, 1979)
  • Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment (CAT, 10 December, 1984)
  • Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC, 20 November, 1989)
  • International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families (ICMW, 18 December, 1990)
  • International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance (CPED, 20 December, 2006)
  • Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD, 13 December, 2006)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/International_human_rights_instruments

These instruments have been signed by many countries, but they are not always ratified.

Here is for example the map concerning the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination:

Signed and ratified
Signed but not ratified
Neither signed

Here are some questions that I think are important:

What happens if a country breaks one of these conventions?
Is there a supra-national institution responsible for ensuring that the commitments made by the countries are respected?
Are all these conventions worthless?

We will try to answer them together.

Aparté: spamming?

Quote (SBD @ May 21 2018 03:31pm)
You guys both respond and make threads on it.

You're just giving attention to the child tossing his food on the floor.

Pick it up again why don't you.

According to wikipedia, spamming is the sending of an unsolicited or unwanted message.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spamming

And I did not do such a thing.
Each time, my messages respect the subject of the topic.

I did not spam, so I'm not a spammer.

Aparté: les virus sur Linux

It's false to say that you need to be logged with root account to get your system infected.
A virus can be installed in the /home/"user" folder.

In this case, it will not need super user permissions.

https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/antivirus

In addition, with a privilege escalation system, the virus can gain full access to the computer.

The error is human, for Windows users or for linux users.

Under debian, if I remember correctly, the default account is a super user account.

Aparté: Ronald Reagan

"I would rather see my little girls die now; still believing in God, than have them grow up under communism and one day die no longer believing in God." - Ronald Reagan

Albert Einstein a écrit dans son livre "The World as I see it":
Quote
A pacifism which does not actually try to prevent the nations from arming is and must remain impotent.

Par analogie, on peut dire:
Des scientifiques qui n'essaient pas de créer de l'intelligence sociale sont, et doivent rester incapables de s'opposer aux décisions excessivement pragmatiques de leurs dirigeants.

By analogy, we can say:
Scientists who do not try to create social intelligence are and must remain unable to oppose the overly pragmatic decisions of their leaders.

Aparté: la malveillance

Quote (Wingman93)
Kim Jong Un > Genius Or Crazy?

lmk your opinions.

i think hes a genius. every genius is a bit crazy :D

He is neither a genius nor a fool.
He is a bad person.

He is ill-intentioned, malicious & malevolent.
He deserves to be judged for his criminal attitude.

Because of the lack of social intelligence in the global society, there are people like him, excessively stupid, who become extremely wicked.
