does he have to be a certain level before aura works?

cause im lvl 24 with a nm def merc and aura wont come on

actually holy freeze lvl req is 18.. my merc is 23 and i use him all the time aura wont come on

An act 2 merc needs a bit of time to get his aura activated. For some reason he won't activate it by default. Get him involved into a few fights and sooner or later he will switch on the aura.
