I'll give you a little info from experience. I didnt get super geared or anything. Super duper budget just a 5link terminus est sword and tabula rasa with capped resists and like 3k hp.
Im not exactly sure what you mean by hard to control, btw.
You use the skill and he jumps to 3 targets. Typically 1 click will kill one pack of monsters (assuming you have the dmg) if there are many packs near each other you might stray and not get the kill on one pack but lower the hp for the group of packs then you have to go through with ur flicker again.
Which is kind of annoying sometimes, because the last monster you hit is where you wind up. So in those situations, you would flicker past all the monsters, not kill them, go back through and kill them, then be back where you started heh. Mostly because my dmg was low i bet, but also because of being in parties.
I would just hold the mouse button and if the map has decent density you fly by killing stuff which is definitely fun at first but i didnt like it that much to continue the character, because id rather have better boss killing atm. Just did this build for fun with no real goal in mind.
Its a bit hard on the eyes i think, but so is whirling blades all over the map at fast speeds i would assume.
Especially since with whirling blades you need to aim and avoid obstacle, but with flicker it just gets the monsters in the general area which can make you travel the map while killing monsters without any effort.
So i would assume eye strain would be more due to the needed focus of using whirling blades quickly and effectively, where as with flicker you dont really focus haha. If you try to focus though, im positive it will hurt but you shouldnt need to anyway.
Maybe the most important thing to tell you is you dont have to click the actual monster to use flicker, it auto targets nearby monsters when you click.
