That's my concern as well. I try not to read too much into teasers and other things like this, but this trailer had more of a cheesy typical Marvel movie vibe, than it did a dark properly done venom movie vibe. Hopefully the trailer is just misleading and there's so much amazing/awesome content in the movie that this trailer is made up of a bunch of the worst scenes in the movie.

If it gets the R rating and if it's dark, it's got a good chance of success. If it ends up being PG-13 and they do more of the same old fucking Marvel garbage bullshit, it'll be another C movie, like all of them. Not terrible, but just boring as fuck since we've seen the movie 20 times now.

this has me keen but they should've added a teaser shot of venom right at the end as he says "...demons" instead of just black and the mouth/eyes silhouette

This. Trying to keep expectations down because of how hard I've been burnt on other superhero movies I've let myself become excited for. It really needs to get that R rating though, I just feel like a PG-13 Venom movie can only be so good.

I'd like to see every interesting clip that's in the movie like most trailers these days only I'd like to fully spoil the movie at the teaser stage.
