Yeah, it's worth $200.
I would ask to see a CrystalDiskInfo screenshot of the drives, to make sure they are still in good shape.
Ofc, the vid cards have to be upgraded.

/e If the drives check out, then I would grab it.

Phenom II is not as bad as you might think, esp. if you can crank it up to 3.9-4ghz. Even though it's 2 yrs older than bulldozer it actually has slightly higher IPC. Stick it with a gtx 1050 (non ti) if you choose to keep it.

It's also the last time (before Ryzen) that AMD made a cpu with traditional core design, fully fledged no compromises and meant to trade blows with Intel in all respects. I've got one myself still and I wouldn't be too upset if I had to use it over my haswell, even though it is slower.

As for whether it's worth $200... even if the SSD's were run into the ground TBW wise I think it'd be worth it.

At least sell the cpu don't scrap it, someone on a very tight budget looking to upgrade or a lover of legacy hardware will scoop it up for around $40-$50 at least.

Thanks for the detailed response.

Why do you recommend pairing it with a gtx 1050?

You can go a bit higher maybe a 1050 ti i just feel 1050 will offer the least or no bottlenecking. Always depends on what you're doing of course.

Based on the info that a 960 bottlenecks ever so slightly with one
