Get a new vid card too. That sucker is a case heater. I know I have one on the shelf in my closet. :)
You can also use MSI Afterburner (free) to set a fan curve for your vid card, which will help to keep it a lot cooler.

But motherboard and CPU can definitely handle a decent overclock on that 2600K.

The newest Intel CPUs, don't really do much more for you than you can do with the 2500K or 2600K.

Get this now... https://pcpartpicker.com/list/TmkHWX
Overclock the CPU to like 4.8Ghz, and you'll be good to go for a bit...except for the vid card ofc.

Get vid card when the prices on them drop back to reality.

/e Then when the new Intel CPUs come out, and if they are worth it, you can get mobo, CPU and RAM.

Relax a little bit. I know it's been a bit weird lately, but Intel will come up with a micro-code patch for the CPU.
And even though the future Intel CPUs won't have the security hole... sooner or later they might have a different security hole.

Unfortunately, we are in the age of the cyber-war.
Hell, I just read today, about a zero day flaw in Flash. If it's not one way it's another.

Unless you're using your comp to handle billions of dollars of transactions, I wouldn't sweat it too much.

Well don't read any ads. :)

Or you can wait for the new CPU's. But remember this. You can still get new case, SSD and cooler. You will be able to use them on your new Intel CPU build later on.
