So currently my pc specs as follows..

16GB DDR3 ram

1TB HDD 7200RPM (not sure of cache size)

AMD FX 8370 8 core 4.4GHz

AMD Fury R9 X 4GB

So far it seems surprisingly my GPU is my bottleneck which I find odd considering the CPU I have in the system.

Any tips or advice? It seems my GPU is up to date on updates.

For gaming specifically or general use?

For gaming probably depends on the game and how CPU intensive it is.

For general use it's of course your HDD not being an SSD.

fury x is still great for 1080p, it was the fastest graphics card AMD had on offer until Vega 56/64 launched.

But considering you own such a card you probably have a higher res monitor than 1080p, in which case it could become a bottleneck even with that cpu in some newer games where the threads of the vishera cpu will come into play much more.

It is in 1080P. I'll run MSI Afterburner and run taskmanager and it doesn't seem that the CPU is the bottleneck it shows that the GPU is.. which makes no sense considering the CPU I have isn't the best thing. I figured my GPU was a great card currently to my knowledge it's the 16th best card on the market. Which is why I came here it doesn't add up to me that the GPU would be the bottleneck and not the CPU but idk. I can build PC's etc. But it doesn't mean I know everything when it comes to full on technical aspects of how things work.

I also have a 900P monitor that I could utilize.. And see if that makes a world of difference.

and yeah it is but it's still better than what I had recently due to separation and having to pay for a lawyer and stuff had to sell my old rig and was gaming on an intel core 2 duo with a gt 620 GPU.. yeah I'll take this PC over that any day my friend. But yeah I'm aware I need to upgrade but I'll wait till next year I think to build a full on new pc.
